URARTU-2 LOST TO THE LEAGUE NEWCOMERS

In the opening round of the Armenian First League, Urartu-2 faced championship debutants Olympia FC. The match ended 2-0 in favor of the opponents.

Both teams were active from the opening minutes, creating attacks and looking for opportunities. In the middle of the first half, Olympia FC managed to find the back of our net, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Before the end of the first half, the opponents had several more chances to open the scoring, but our goalkeeper, Narek Nazaretyan, reacted well and kept the score level.

The first half ended goalless, with both teams heading into the break at 0-0.

The second half started in much the same way as the first. Olympia FC created more attacking opportunities, while our team had a good chance in the 50th minute, but unfortunately we were unable to convert it.
Towards the end of the match, Olympia FC managed to open the scoring. A few minutes later, the opponents were awarded a penalty and doubled their lead.

As a result, the opening-round match ended 2-0 in favor of Olympia FC.
