ROBERT ARZUMANYAN: WE ARE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE RESULT

The head coach of our team shared his thoughts on the match.

Of course, we are disappointed with the result.

We spent most of the match in the opponent’s half, controlled possession, forced the opponent to defend in a low block, and created scoring opportunities. In the first half, the opponent essentially had one dangerous counterattack and managed to make the most of it, going into the break with 1-0.

The picture of the game was almost the same in the second half. We continued to attack, spent long periods around the opponent’s penalty area, and created chances, but we needed more. We managed to score one goal, but unfortunately, we were not efficient enough in our final decisions today.

Naturally, when we pushed forward with more players and took greater risks, we also gave the opponent additional opportunities to counterattack.

The main difference today was efficiency. In football, the final result is decided in both penalty areas, and today the opponent was more efficient than us in that regard.

I cannot be dissatisfied with the football we tried to play. We wanted to control the game, attack, and win. But we need to be more precise and effective in decisive moments.

There were many things in this game that we can build on in our further work, but the result once again reminds us that today it was not enough. We have to be able to turn control of the game into goals and results.

What pleased us today was the return to the pitch of Yevgeny Tsymbalyuk after a long absence. He had missed a significant amount of time due to injury, but he worked hard and consistently during training and went on to have a very good game.
