UNFORTUNATELY, WE LOST IN THE SECOND ROUND
In the second round of the Armenian Premier League, Urartu played away against Ararat-Armenia. The match ended with a 2–1 victory for the hosts. Miguel Rajani scored the only goal for our team.
The teams battled fiercely from the opening whistle. The hosts were the first to score and took the lead. Just a few minutes later, our new signing Rajani responded brilliantly. Miguel fired a powerful shot into the back of the net to level the score for Urartu. Both teams continued to create dangerous chances, but no more goals were scored before the break. The sides went into halftime with the score tied at 1-1.
In the 81st minute, the opponents regained the lead to make it 2-1. Ararat-Armenia created several more dangerous opportunities in our penalty area, but Mishev produced a series of confident saves to keep Urartu in the game.
Urartu earned several corner kicks in the closing stages, but was unable to take advantage of them. As a result, the match ended in a 2-1 defeat for Urartu.
