We are happy to announce that Urartu Football Club has a new signing. A graduate of the club Erik Vardanyan returned to the team.

The 23-year-old midfielder took his first steps in football at the academy of Urartu FC (formerly Banants FC). At the age of 11, Vardanyan moved to the academy team of the Spanish FC Barcelona. The attacking midfielder began his professional career at Mika Football Club, marking his debut in the Armenian Premier League on May 18, 2016 in the match against Pyunik FC. Then the footballer played in such clubs as Pyunik Yerevan and Russian PFC Sochi, playing in the Russian Premier League.

During the winter transfer window of 2022, Erik Vardanyan as a free agent signed the contract with his native Urartu FC.

It should be noted that the player took part in his first official match as part of the Armenian national team on September 8, 2019, where the team faced the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the qualifying round of UEFA Euro 2020.
