“First of all, I congratulate Artak Oseyan’s team on a well-deserved victory. Today, both with and without the ball, we did things that we had neither trained nor shown in matches. I think that if it weren’t for Dragojevic, we would have conceded more goals. Still, this is football — sometimes a team wins without even taking shots. In the end, we could have, so to speak, snatched a 2–2 draw, but it didn’t work out.
We played shamefully and showed poor football.”

“You also mentioned issues with quality. I don’t recall Urartu playing like this in a big match. Could Narek Aghasaryan’s absence have been the reason?”

“Aghasaryan’s absence is felt; every player is important for us.
We don’t train or play the way we did today. The problem wasn’t one or two players, everyone played bad.
His role in the team is significant, but it wasn’t about a single player.”

“Was there an element of surprise? Pyunik is usually not that aggressive up front, but today they were aggressive from the start.”

“I don’t think so. We have played under greater pressure and managed to deal with pressing. We were prepared both for pressing and for defending in the middle block. The problem was the unexpected nature of our own performance — we surprised ourselves, and there were many mistakes.”
