Today, December 10th, Football Day is celebrated all over the world - a celebration of football players, fans and all those who are involved in football.

The UN made the decision to celebrate a Football Day by choosing a date on December 10th. The international organization took into account the love of this game in all countries of the world, believing that it was able to reflect and unite the national characters of different nations, which have their own style and game features. On this day, all athletes, fans unite in honor of the holiday, expressing their love for the great game.

HISTORY OF FOOTBALL

England is considered to be the birthplace of modern football, and already in 1857 the first specialized football club "Sheffield" was founded there. And the most titled football club is the Scottish "Rangers" club, which has 115 trophies in its arsenal.

The first ever international match was held on November 30 in1872. It went between the teams of England and Scotland. In 1904, in Paris was founded the governing organization in football - FIFA.

The founding father of the World Cup is Jules Rimet. This was the beginning of a new era in the history of football. Until 1970, this trophy was named after Jules Rimet, was also known as the “Cup of the Goddess Nike,” but after the third victory, the Brazilian national team and at the World Cup was given to her for eternal storage. Instead, the modern World Cup began to be played.

ARMENIAN FOOTBALL

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, national football federations were founded in all countries that gained independence. The Armenian Football Federation was founded on January 18 in 1992, and Nikolay Ghazaryan became its first president. In the same year, the FFA became a member of UEFA, and on July 3 - of FIFA. Was founded the national team of Armenia, whose coach was appointed Eduard Markarov.
