URARTU FC WILL HELD INTERNATIONAL MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT SIMON CUP FOR THE FOURTH STRAIGHT YEAR
Urartu Football Club is once again organizing and hosting the international youth memorial tournament Simon Cup for the fourth consecutive year.
The tournament is dedicated to Simon Israelian — a longtime employee of "Urartu" and a hero of the 44-day Artsakh War.
This year, teams will compete for the championship title in two age categories — U14 and U15. The participating teams include: Urartu FC, FC Pyunik, FC Noah, FC Ararat-Armenia, Georgia’s FC Torpedo Kutaisi, as well as teams from Avan Academy and Celero Academy.
The official opening ceremony of the tournament will take place on May 24 at 09:00 at the Urartu Football Club base. In addition to the teams, the event will be attended by representatives of clubs and academies, Simon’s father Spartak Israelian, and other honorable guests.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the first matches of the tournament will kick off.
The international tournament will last for three days, during which the winners in each age category will be determined.
The closing ceremony will be held on May 26 at 20:00, again at the Urartu Football Club base. During the ceremony, the winners will be announced and special awards will be presented.
