WIN IN THE CUP MATCH
In the Armenian Cup quarterfinal, our team celebrated a victory against Ararat.
The match started with active attacks of both teams. Opponent created some dangerous moments near our penalty area but Mishiev saved the situation.
In the 28th minute Urartu earned a free kick, but couldn't score a goal. At the end of the first time Ararat earned a free kick too, but Mishiev played well.
So the first half ended without goals.
The second half started with a bit of tension. Our team’s forward Bruno Michel received a red card, but after a VAR review the decision was overturned and the referee showed a yellow card instead. A player from the opposing team also received a yellow card. Minutes later, Bruno scored, but the it was offside.
In the 80th minute Artemi Gunko scored a goal and opened the scoring. Minutes later, the opponents committed a foul inside their own penalty area, and Urartu were awarded a penalty. Our forward Karen Melkonyan scored it to extend the lead.
In added time, Artemi Gunkо scored the third winning goal and completed a brace.
Urartu celebrates victory in the cup match and is confidently moving forward.
