ROBERT ARZUMANYAN: «WE DID EVERYTHING WE PLANNED»
Our head coach Robert Arzumanyan talked about the match against BKMA.
We started the match exactly as we had prepared for this microcycle, we applied pressure, and with the ball we did everything we had planned. We managed to launch attacks, scored a goal, and that helped us. We went ahead in the score, and the goal at the beginning of the second half somewhat eased our task. BKMA is a strong team, with players who have potential and can create problems. I congratulate the players on the victory.
We have been working on play without ball, so Michel can help the team defensively, this is still a work in progress and not yet sufficient. He has a task, where to position himself and how we want to build the team’s attacks, so that he ends up in the positions where the goals are scored. We also work in the team on finishing and other factors, and Michel has good qualities in the final phase.
Karen can play in different positions. Last spring, playing as a forward, he scored many goals. He has speed, moves well off the ball, plays intelligently when making runs or waiting for a pass. Today, we focused on speed in the attacking line.
We have strong competition in Erik Simonyan’s position, but he has good qualities. I am satisfied with how he trains and he will have his opportunity. At the moment, the other three defenders are still playing. I trust him, his chance will come. He just needs to keep working, like the others who haven’t played yet
